Tuolumne County Awaits Tuesday Beilenson Hearings

Sonora, CA — Liz Bass will encounter a very long Tuesday this week.

The District 1 Supervisor, who will serve as moderator of the Beilenson Hearings at the County Administration Building, says a “yes or no” vote on the closure of Tuolumne General Hospital will not be taken tomorrow because it will not be on the agenda.

Supervisor Bass adds that a vote on specific issues brought before the board by county staff regarding T.G.H. services will only be voted upon at the conclusion of the second session if the entire process is concluded within the proper time frame. Any changes could take up to several years to implement.

Both Beilenson Hearing sessions will be broadcast live on the Mother Lode´s News Station, KVML. The afternoon session will open at 1:30 ending at five o´clock while the evening session will run from seven until nine o´clock. Both sessions will also be audio streamed on MyMotherlode.com.
