Fair Brings Out Rodeo Fans

Angels Camp, CA — Rodeo fans flocked to the Calaveras County Fairgrounds Thursday night to watch local teams compete in everything rodeo.

Two of those local teams earned second and third place spots after events in calf branding, team roping, saddle bronc and bull riding.

The Brad Sutton Trucking team of Angels Camp came in second while the Rustlers of Copperopolis came in third.

First place went to a team out of King City named Kate´s Crew. It took first in both the saddle bronc and bull riding events.

Friday night the 1980´s rock band Loverboy performs at the fair. Saturday at 6 p.m., the Calaveras Idol finals begin before country band Hot Apple Pie performs. And Sunday the International Frog Jump Finals will take place at 2:30 p.m. The Destruction Derby starts at 5:30 p.m.
