Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — A Twain Harte teenager is bound for Canada in July to compete in the North American Roller Hockey Championship´s (NARCH).

16-year-old Cory Bressler and his roller hockey team, Team Extreme, which is based in the Davis area, qualified to play in the Gold Division of the NARCH in Toronto, Canada.

The July championship tournament is the number one roller hockey championship series in the word and annually hosts hundreds of teams and thousands of players from many countries.

Bressler finished the qualifying tournament as the Top Scorer, and was also selected as an “NHL Junior All-Star”, a designation awarded by NARCH for outstanding tournament play.

Bressler´s father says Cory began playing hockey when he was three years old and is thought to be one of the top scoring players in the history of California roller hockey.

His hockey skills have allowed him to compete, in recent years, in national tournaments in Minnesota, Florida, Las Vegas, and Ohio.

This will be his first chance to play outside the United States. He can´t wait to see Niagara Falls and he also plans to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame during his trip.
