Jamestown Man Arrested For Tampering With 911 Call

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — Tampering with an emergency 911 phone call is against the law and a Jamestown man found that out the hard way Tuesday.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department responded to Jamestown Road to a report of a family disturbance.

When deputies arrived, they met with a woman who said she´d been in an argument with her husband, who in turn refused to allow her to leave the residence.

Reports indicate when she tried to call 911 for help; her husband pulled the phone cord out of the wall. Deputies contacted the husband, who was intoxicated.

They arrested him for the felony of tampering with an emergency phone call.
