BLM Sets Special Fire Restrictions For Sierra Foothills

San Andreas, CA — Due to extremely dry conditions, the Bureau of Land Management is implementing fire restrictions on all BLM lands within the Folsom Field Office boundary. This includes Calaveras, Tuolumne and Amador counties.
All open fires are prohibited. Special rules regarding lanterns, campfire permits and smoking are in effect.
The restrictions are in effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
Violations are punishable by fines up to $1,000 and/or imprisonment for up to one year in jail.
