Water Conservation Measure Ends Friday In Tuolumne County
Sonora, CA — The current Tuolumne Utilities District water conservation campaign comes to an end Friday.
Due to the recent hot weather, many of the water systems served by TUD were facing low water levels in the water storage tanks throughout the community.
Reports indicate the District´s water treatment plants needed a few weeks to recover from the unusually high demand during the recent heat wave.
TUD Board of Directors president, Jim Costello says when the conservation message went out, residents did lessen their water use.
Although the conservation campaign ends this week, Costello says it is always wise to conserve the use of water 365 days a year.
