Update at 4:15 p.m.: CHP spokesperson Officer Steve Machado tells Clarke Broadcasting that the tow crews have not arrived at the crash site yet. They had estimated their arrival would be sometime in the three o’clock hour. Machado noted that the tow crews are coming from Stockton, and the rainy weather may be causing delays. He shared, “We plan on having the semi and large propane tank cleared sometime this evening, allowing the roadway to reopen.” Further details on the crash can be found below.

Update at 1:59 p.m.: The CHP reports that the tow crews’ estimated time of arrival to remove the overturned truck and propane tank has been pushed to after 3 p.m.

Original post at 12:31 p.m.: Tuolumne County, CA – A section of Priest Coulterville Road is closed this morning due to a truck crash last night, with officers monitoring the collision site throughout the night.

The CHP remains on the scene of an overturned propane truck on Priest Coulterville Road that flipped over last night just before 7 p.m. on a sharp turn in the roadway about a mile from Highway 120, between Moccasin and Big Oak Flat. Officers are directing detoured traffic as the roadway is closed from the highway to Cuneo Road.

Tow crews are on the way to remove the truck and tank. There is no estimated reopening for the roadway at this time. Luckily, no injuries are being reported in this crash. There are no traffic issues on Highway 120.
