Gala For Sierra Poetry Book

Murphys, CA — More than 80 writers have penned their thoughts on the Mother Lode in a collection that will be celebrated this weekend at Kautz Ironstone Winery in Murphys.
The book, vol. 5 of Manzanita: Poetry and Prose of the Mother Lode and Sierra, contains nearly 200 pages of work.
Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m., writers will be sharing their pieces and signing books. Artists and photographers will also be on hand.
Open mic sessions will give the public a chance to read their own short poems.
