Propane Outage Impacting Quail Hollow, Many Others Nearby

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — There is a widespread propane outage that is impacting hundreds of customers in the Quail Hollow apartments, and several other nearby townhomes and facilities.

The region is east of Greenley Road, just outside the city limits of Sonora.

A spokesperson for Amerigas confirms that one of their lines was damaged when a TUD crew was doing some work at the Quail Hollow Apartments on Wednesday. The fire department told Amerigas that propane needed to be shut off as a safety precaution. Amerigas has a tank that supplies the apartment complex with propane, along with several other nearby properties. The company reports that about 400 customers, in total, are impacted.

The Amerigas spokesperson relayed to Central Sierra Broadcasting that they apologize for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. When asked how long the outage could linger, she stated it was too early to know, but it could potentially be around 2-3 days, depending on what technicians find.

The impacted customers are without heat and warm water.

The company has sent an email to customers stating they are bringing in outside technicians to repair the lines and relight each system.
