San Andreas, CA — Team supporters and parents were lined up along Highway 49 and cheering on the Calaveras Red Hawks as they head off to the state football championship game to be played Saturday at Fullerton High School.
They braved the early Friday morning cool and foggy conditions to let the team know they are proud of their accomplishments and to wish them luck.
Several first responders, including the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, helped provide a motorcade for the team as they left San Andreas.
Calaveras (12-2) will face Bishop Union (12-3) on Saturday at 3 pm.
