Angels Camp Planning Commission To Consider Annexation
Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the issue of acquiring a 20-acre piece of land east of town that now belongs to the county.
The commission´s opinion is expected to help a group of developers decide whether to go ahead with the application process for annexation of the property where they hope to build a 40 to 50 parcel housing development.
Officials say the application process costs about $10,000 and the builders may not want to proceed if the commission refuses to consider the issue.
Annexation would allow a higher density project and allow the subdivision to tap into city utilities.
The commission will take up the issue at its meeting tonight.
