A Lunch And Learn Seminar Will Be Held May 5th To Educate Women About Heart Disease
San Andreas, CA – – Calaveras County´s “Take Woman To Heart” Project targets heart disease, which supporters say is the #1 killer of women.
Their goal is to inform women, their friends, and their families about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and regular checkups to help prevent heart disease and stroke.
They are working with the American Heart Association and their national campaign “Go Red for Women.”
Keynote Speaker Cardiologist Dr. Kenny Charn will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, and the importance of preventative measures.
Calaveras County Supervisor and heart disease survivor Victoria Erickson will also speak about how heart disease changed her life.
She says Woman of every age can have heart disease and stroke.
The luncheon will be held at Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital at noon.
