Rocha and Pinon May Stand Trial For Murder;Decision May 10
The two men charged with the murder of Mokelumne Hill teenage resident David Jessop appeared Monday afternoon in Superior Court for brief hearings Monday, during which they were ordered to return for a May 10 preliminary hearing.
Donald Maurice Pinon, 20, and Daniel Maurice-Lessiue Rocha, 19, will find out then if they must stand trial on the murder charges. They have both pleaded innocent. Several of Jessop´s friends attended Monday´s hearing, several of them wearing T-shirts with images of Jessop
Rocha, of Valley Springs, also is charged with attempting to bribe a correctional officer to help him escape from the Calaveras County jail.
