San Leandro Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charges Near Jamestown
Sonora, CA — A man from San Leandro has been arrested on drug charges after Sonora Police conducted a traffic stop early this morning.
Officers spotted a Ford SUV travelling at an excessive rate of speed down highway 108 near Wigwam Road in Jamestown at about 1:15.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, 48-year-old Robert Williams, showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers then arrested Williams and searched his car.
The search turned up 17 small plastic baggies containing a crystal substance along with various drug paraphernalia.
Williams was booked into Tuolumne County Jail for possessing, transporting and intending to sell a controlled substance, and driving under the influence.
