Highway 26 Reopened

Valley Springs, Ca — Highway 26 is now reopened after being temporarily shut down while hazmat and fire units investigated a suspicious odor report inside the Norm´s Chevron Gas Station.
The Chevron, including ten other businesses were evacuated.
At least three people have been sent to the hospital.
Some units have left but crews are still on the scene.
According to a Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department spokesperson, the incident is winding down.
The cause is still under investigation.
