Calaveras Community Foundation Names First Executive Director

Calaveras, CA– The Calaveras Community Foundation has named Bridget Myers as its first executive director, marking a major step in the nonprofit’s efforts to expand services and strengthen community programs.

Myers, a resident of Murphys, brings experience in nonprofit operations, grant writing, fundraising support, and community outreach. She has served as a board member and park rentals coordinator for the Murphys Community Club and helped organize the annual Murphys Friends Free Christmas Dinner, which provides a free holiday meal to residents across the county. She also previously worked with the foundation as a grant recipient, writing and administering funding for a Murphys Community Club public restroom renovation project that was completed on time and under budget. Myers said she is eager to build on the foundation’s work.

“I have watched the Calaveras Community Foundation make a real difference in this county for years, and I am honored to step into this role at such an exciting time for the organization,” she said. “I look forward to working alongside the board and our community partners to expand our reach and deepen our impact.”

The foundation is a nonprofit public benefit organization focused on building charitable resources and addressing local needs. Over more than 26 years, it has provided more than $3.7 million in grants, scholarships, and assistance throughout Calaveras County. More information about the group can be found here.
