Investigation Lands Sonora Man In Jail On Child Pornography And Drug Charges

Sonora, CA — A search warrant was executed at a Sonora home on Wednesday following a cyber tip from the Sacramento Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The Sonora PD reports that 26-year-old Phoenix Raymond Farris is allegedly connected to an online platform named in the tip. Investigators further located explicit photos and videos in his online activity. The search of the home also uncovered suspected methamphetamine. The home address in Sonora was not released by officials. The PD notes that Farris was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail on a “No Bail” status for multiple felony charges relating to child pornography and the possession of methamphetamine.

A second person at the home was arrested for misdemeanor possession of cocaine. The PD stresses that there is no evidence to suggest that the second individual was involved in the child pornography crimes.
