Sonora, CA — Challenger Tim McCaffrey was the leader in the District Three Tuolumne County Board of Supervisor race when the initial 2,901 ballots specific to that geographic region were tabulated on Tuesday evening.

McCaffrey was up by 25 votes.

The Tuolumne County Election’s Office reports that an additional 182 were processed and counted for District Three this afternoon, and Anaiah Kirk has now moved past McCaffrey, and is leading by 44 votes. Kirk has 1,563 and McCaffrey is at 1,519.

In the District Two Supervisor race, Ryan Campbell remains in the lead with over 45% and Juli Healy is in second with nearly 26%. The two are anticipated to advance to a November runoff.

In the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools race, Gabe Wingo has over 52% and Zack Abernathy has 47%. The vote count is 7,655 to 6,861.

An estimated 2,500 ballots still need to be processed and counted in Tuolumne County. Only a fraction of those will be specific to the District 2 and 3 Supervisor races.
