Update: Power Outage In Groveland Area

Update at 4 p.m.: PG&E crews have turned the lights back on for 98 customers in the Pine Mountain Lake area of Tuolumne County, out of the 207 that were still without power in the Groveland area. That leaves 109 customers south of Highway 120 without electricity. The restoration time for those customers has been pushed back from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The utility reports, “Our crew found third-party damage and will make repairs.” Their power went out around 9:15 a.m.

Update at 3:10 p.m.: A PG&E crew has restored power to most of the more than 700 customers who were impacted along Highway 120 in Tuolumne County. That number has dropped by 500 to 207 customers still without power in the Groveland area south of Highway 120, and in the Pine Mountain Lake area. The restoration time provided by the utility is between 3:30 and 5 p.m.

Original Post at 11:47 a.m.: Groveland, CA—More than 700 PG&E customers’ lights went out around 9:15 this morning in the Groveland area of Tuolumne County.

Those impacted run along Highway 120 and include Groveland, Pine Mountain Lake, and Buck Meadows, stretching just past Big Oak Flat Road. The utility reports this is an unplanned outage, and a crew is at the site working to restore power, which they hope to have back on between 3:30 and 5 p.m.
