Memorial Day Campfire Safety

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is joining the call for a safe Memorial Day weekend.
If you´re going camping, officials say, make sure you practice safety.
Tips from the CDF include making sure campfires are allowed in the area you´ve chosen, clear a ten-foot diameter around your fire, and avoid starting fires under low tree branches.
Of course, never leave a campfire unattended.
Last year, officials say, escaped campfires caused 110 wildfires in California.
