A drier-than-average March means no change in water allocations, for most farmers who buy water from the federal Central Valley Project (CVP). Project operators say they did boost supplies for customers of the Friant project in the eastern San Joaquin Valley, who will now receive 100 percent of “class one” water. CVP customers in the western San Joaquin Valley are scheduled to receive 65 percent of the water provided in their contracts with the project.
