Valley Springs, CA — Firefighters extinguished a fully involved house fire late Monday evening on Treosti Place in the Rancho Calaveras subdivision in Valley Springs.
The Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department reports that the fire was burning heavily in the attic of the single-family structure when the first responders arrived shortly after 10:35 am. It did not spread to any nearby vegetation or other residences.
The fire department notes that one adult female, who was not identified, was treated for smoke inhalation. The Red Cross sent officials to assist the displaced homeowner.
The home is considered a total loss, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
