Traffic Signal Coming to Jamestown
The intersection of Highway 108 and Raw Hide Road will become a little safer next year.
CalTrans has plans to install a new traffic signal at that busy intersection.
Tuolumne County supervisor Dick Pland told KVML news it´s been a long drawn-out process to get the light.
“Finally, after six or seven years of talk-talk-talk, we really do have, I consider, a firm commitment from CalTrans that there will be a light there at the Raw Hide intersection,” Pland says.
County officials hope this will improve that intersection:
“We will have, definitely, an improved safer intersection there when folks are coming on Rawhide and wanting to turn left or right on Highway 108.”
Pland was our guest Sunday on Mother Lode Views.
