Tulare County Deputy Shot

A Tulare County Sheriff´s deputy is recovering from a gunshot wound today after he got into a scuffle last night with a man he was trying to arrest.
Sheriff´s reports indicate the deputy and his partner approached a suspicious vehicle in and detained the driver, but the passenger ran. The deputy caught him, they fought, and the deputy was shot during the fight.
The deputy´s name has not been released but he is reported in stable condition a hospital in Visalia.
