Sonora, CA — This weekend’s Mother Lode Views will feature the CEO of Calaveras County, Teresa Hitchcock.
Early in the show, she will highlight the response and ongoing recovery efforts following the Gann Fire in the Valley Springs area. She will detail information about resources available for those impacted by the fire.
The county supervisors also recently approved a new preliminary budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27, and she will talk about the impacts, and also highlight some infrastructure projects included.
In addition, she will talk about the board’s recent direction to impose a moratorium on AI Data Center projects, and what spurred the move.
She will also recap recent discussions and changes planned, related to fire funding allocations, following the passage of the Measure A sales tax. It was a somewhat contentious item at a recent supervisors’ meeting.
