Calaveras County Man Booked On Burglary Charge

A Douglas Flat man was arrested on burglary charges following an assault of a woman in her Murphys home.
Calaveras County Sheriff´s deputies responded just after midnight Friday to the woman´s home on Williams Street regarding a fight in progress.. Deputies detained 20 year-old Gatlin Hampton. Authorities say they found Hampton with stolen property from a burglary he committed at another residence prior to the fight with the woman. He was booked into Calaveras County jail on $85,000 bail.
