Apartment Fire Displaces 10 People

Part of an apartment building caught fire Sunday afternoon in Sonora.
Resident Matt Madden called 9-1-1 when he saw the blaze burning at the Sierra Village Apartments complex on Greenley road.
“I pulled into the parking lot and…it was actually the bushes behind the building that were on fire,” Madden said. He also said the fire spread from the bushes to the building before police and fire crews were on scene.
Fire officials said no one was inured, but about 10 people had to find another place to stay overnight.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
