Mad Cow Costs Beef Sales

Ranchers across California are worried about the impact a single case of mad cow disease in Washington state will have on cattle sales. California leads the nation in dairy production and ranks sixth in cattle raised for beef. Cattle futures dropped sharply heading into the holiday.
