Nevada casinos won $800 million from gamblers in April. That´s a three percent increase from the same month a year ago thanks in part to a boost in a South Lake Tahoe market that has been up and down since September eleventh.
The Tahoe-area casinos at Stateline collected nearly $28 million-dollars, up more than 23 percent from April 2001. It was the biggest monthly percentage gain in the state, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
