Fast-talking telemarketers are on the phones again, so beware, especially if you own a business. A Jamestown landscaper is fighting a bill for nearly 300 dollars from a New York state advertising firm.
Beth Barry says she asked to see a copy of the contract for a yellow pages type ad, and instead got a call confirming an order she never placed. A few days later the bill came. Barry´s fighting it in court. She says Ameri-Source led her to believe she was talking about renewing a Pacific Bell ad.
Ameri-Source is located in Champlain New York. The firm failed to return several calls from us for comment.
