California Exits To Be Numbered

Catching up with other states, California will start numbering highway exits. The federal government requires exits to be numbered, but the state has avoided it for 40 years. In 1999, California estimated that it would cost 40 million dollars to put up the signs. The exit number project is to start on US 101.
