It´s Going To Be Hot At The Fair

Sponsored by:

The Mother Lode Fair kicks off Thursday in Sonora, and greeting fair goers, more hot weather.

Braving the 107 degree heat to set up his cotton candy and cold drink booth Wednesday afternoon was carnie Ray Cooper. He says, no matter what the temperature, the show must go on.

“There´s nothing you can do about the heat. It´s going to be hot, or not,” Cooper said Wednesday afternoon as he set up his food booth.

“You do what you have to do. We open up tomorrow, so we have to get our equipment up, rain or shine.”

Cooper may be hoping for some rain, but forecasters say nothing but sun and hot weather for the rest of the week.

The hot fair fun begins tomorrow afternoon when the gates open at 4 p.m. The Miss Tuolumne County Pageant starts at 6 p.m.
