Still, No State Budget

The Assembly is still four votes short of approving a budget. After a two-hour debate today, the Assembly failed to get a two-thirds majority for a measure that would increase cigarette taxes to three dollars a pack and abandon a plan to double California´s car tax. The budget is now 38 days overdue.
