Fireworks May Have Started Blaze

Fire investigators are checking a report of several individuals playing with fireworks at New Melones Lake this morning. Crews were called to put out a vegetation fire shortly after 10:00 o’clock. The blaze was quickly extinguished. Officials are checking out a report that several people were using slingshots to launch fireworks just before the blaze started.
