Fire Contained In Martinez

A fire burned across 125 acres of tinder-dry grass near Martinez before it could be contained by firefighters. The blaze broke out yesterday afternoon. The three-alarm blaze generated a large cloud of smoke which could be seen all over the area. No buildings were involved, and no injuries were reported.
