Sightings, But No Arrest In Abduction
A nine-year-old Bakersfield girl believed to be traveling with her mentally disturbed mother may have been spotted in the Mission Valley area of San Diego. CHP Officer Phil Konstantin says a car matching the description of the mother´s blue Hyundai pulled into a Motel Six at about 6:45 last night and the little girl went inside and talked to a clerk at the front desk. He says witnesses followed the car through the parking lot but lost them at a surface street. Earlier yesterday, truck drivers spotted the car on Interstate Five near the Grapevine. They tried to surround the car, but the driver was able to get away near Highway 99. Pamela Walden apparently took her daughter, Cierra, during a supervised visit Thursday.
