Calfornia To Observe 9-11 Anniversary

Governor Gray Davis has announced statewide observances of September eleventh heroism, including a state capitol ceremony. There were 54 Californians among those who died at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon and aboard a hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. Flags are to be lowered on September eleventh, and after a minute of silence Davis has asked that church and city bells be rung simultaneously.
