Memorials Planned For 9/11

From fire truck processions to candlelight vigils, from planting trees to memorials at sea, Californians will mark September eleventh with low-key observances. In Sonora, flags will be displayed downtown, and the Sonora High School band will play a memorial concert beginning at 12:30 in Courthouse Park. Statewide, observances begin at 5:46 a.m., the time the first jetliner struck the World Trade Center, and continue through the evening.
