Robbery Suspect Jailed In Calaveras

Calaveras County deputies have a 43-year-old Burson man jailed in connection with a robbery Thursday evening at the Mar-Val food store in Valley Springs.
Officers say Timothy Garcia grabbed some food and drink from the market, then brandished a knife at the clerk when he tried to stop him shortly after 7:00. Deputies say Garcia fled the store, and was picked up less than an hour later near the center of town. He’s being held under $85,000.00 bail for the robbery, and another $2,000.00 on an Amador County warrant.
