Water Main Break In San Francisco Halted

Crews needed about two and a half hours to halt the flow from a broken water main in San Francisco this morning. It poured water into streets and basements of homes at a rate of about one-thousand-gallons per minute. Some homes collected up to three feet of water in their basements. Authorities said the break did not affect overall water supply in San Francisco.
