Former Deputy Sent to Prison on Sex Conviction

A former Siskiyou County sheriff´s deputy has been sentenced to more than nine years in state prison for
having sex with underaged girls while he was a resident deputy of Happy Camp.
William Schmidt had unlawful sex with the girls over a several-year
period while he served as an adviser for a youth program.
