Arsonist Still Sought

CDF investigators are still looking for the arsonist who started the massive “Creek” fire last week. The
blaze consumed more than 11 thousand acres and destroyed 13 homes. It was ignited along Highway 49 near Pinon Blanco Road, and spread quickly uphill in
the thick, dry brush.
Anyone who might have seen something suspicious along Highway 49 Saturday, August 18th, between 2 and 2:30 in the afternoon
is asked to call the Sonora office at 532-0821.
