California Holiday Traffic Deaths Increase This Year

Traffic deaths during the long Labor Day holiday period have risen sharply compared to a year ago. The
California Highway Patrol said today 47 persons had died between Friday evening and 6 a-m today. That is 20 more deaths that during the same 60-hour
period during the holiday weekend last year.
