Mountain Springs Petitioners Busy

Opponents of the Mountain Springs Development project have been busy in recent days collecting
signatures on a petition to put the project on the March 2002 ballot. According to Bob Garretson of Voters Choice, confidence is high in the anti Mountain
Springs camp.
The County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 to approve a scaled-down version of the development last month. Opponents feel several
issues, including water usage and fire protection have not been addressed adequately by the Board or the developers.
