Safeway Sues its Workers’ Union

Grocery chain Safeway is suing its employee´s union, claiming the union vote over a proposed contract has
been tainted. The company claims the union has permitted friends and family member of some employees to vote on the contract. The suit comes as the sides
near a strike deadline, set for Monday.
