Fisheries Being Closed

The state Fish and Game Commission has closed offshore rockfish and lingcod fisheries south of Cape
Mendocino to recreational fishermen. The emergency action came after recommendations from the state Department of Fish and Game that the species was
being overfished and had already reached their annual catch limits. The emergency restrictions go into effect October 29th through the end of the year.
