Stockton Man Charged In Woman’s Death

A 40 year old Stockton man is jailed for murder in Calaveras County. Jay Edward Cates is accused of killing 41 year old Keri Rasberry, whose body was found near Arnold Sunday.
Calaveras County deputies say Cates is Rasberry´s former boyfriend. He was arrested in stockton and taken to Calaveras county without incident. Rasberry was identified through her dental records. An autopsy indicated she was bludgeoned to death and left in a remote area off Boards Crossing Road. She had been missing since October 6th.
