Redistricting Suit Declined By Supreme Court

The California Supreme Court is declining to hear lawsuits challenging the Legislature´s redistricting plans in Santa Clara and San Joaquin counties.
The high court voted today not to review challenges to the new legislative and congressional boundaries the Legislature approved and Governor Davis signed in September. Lawmakers must reapportion boundaries every decade.
