Blood Running Low

Despite a flood of donations after the September 11th terror attacks, blood bank officials say supplies now are dangerously low in the San Joaquin Valley. The Central California Blood Center says it needs 250 pints of blood a day to meet the basic needs of the 30 hospitals it serves in the valley. Yesterday, there was only a two-day supply on hand.
