Search For The Cause Of Oily Birds Continues

The U.S. Coast Guard and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration are continuing to search for the source of oil that has covered sea birds from Half Moon Bay to Stinson Beach.
Since November 24th, the Oiled Wildlife Care Network has recovered 96 oiled birds. The organization has taken samples of the oil and is comparing it to previous regional spills to determine if there is a common source.
